The Goal of Lent

The goal of the Lent is not to fast during the 40 day period and get back to routine after Easter. Instead, through deprivation from certain foods we try to control our body, change our thoughts and focus on Jesus.

As Christians we are in the process of putting off the old self, changing and becoming better people. Do not put the old self on after Easter. The goal is to change, which means, to think differently.

If you think differently, you will act differently too.

the more you give, the more we can spread the Word of God.

Amen dear Virginia. Leave the old self, and earnestly desire for the new self in Christ: the true image of being a Christian person. God bless you.
