Do not lose your hope. A convicted criminal, who repented, became the first person to go to Paradise. Meanwhile, the apostle of Christ became a tragic figure, a victim of his own treachery. And how it all happened, is a great lesson for all of us. Therefore, “a person can never be neither discouraged nor give up on the other,” writes Metropolitan of Limassol Athanasios.
Never lose hope because God loves you. Instead, build your hope on Jesus.
Again he said, “What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade.” Mark 4:30-32
You may be small and facing big difficulties. But you have the “mustard seed” planted in you. Repent and let it grow.
